Hello, My objective is to be able to protect the data and the know-how (Script python) present in vred (Variant set / Script editor). The solution would be to put the script.py in a compilation process which makes it possible to obtain a .pyd (Dll from Python) then to use the .pyd as libraries. it is theoretically possible to compile .py into .pyd. The problem is that in practice VRED (even in 2020.X) uses python 2.7 used (and not 3.x) And therefore the process of compiling .py in .pyd is very complicated. The modules required for compilation no longer exist, the problem having been raised on the forums. And that to come to the idea of having the possibility of inserting a password or a protection of access to the python file, or directly a tool allowing their simple compilation in .pyd A standalone version of vred is not a viable solution since the need to manipulate the scene its hierarchy and all the editor tools is necessary in future use. Thanks for reading, Have a nice day
