Lamp rendering by raytracing

when I use raytracing to render the car, the lamp seems too dark....

it may caused by the lamp outer lens?  because the outer lens is almost parallel to the light source(HDR studio).

should I add another light source? or change the material of outer lens to get more light go inside?

I use the plastic(polycarbonates) as the material of outer lens, everything inside the outer lens is very dark and hardly see when the raytracing is on

We need more information to give you any answer, at least an image of what the issue is and how your render settings and lights are setup.
