How to make a LCD display backlight?

I have a display similar to this: https://i.imgur.com/EEmPIwb.jpg

Basically there is the main structure made of black aluminum, then there are the rubberized buttons and then there is the display which is placed slightly under the main shell surface and above it there is a 80% glass material.

So all perfect right? Well, I still miss the backlight for my display. The display is basically a multi pass material composed of the texture as plastic material  behind + the glass material on top of it. I should either either light my texture or have a light behind it bringing the colors up, but I don't know how VRED manages this use scenario. I saw lots of cars interiors where there are infotainment displays, but didn't manage to get my hands on one completed file to inspect which solution they adopted, thus my question.

Hi,

please have a look at the incandescence tab in the material editor for the plastic material.

Cheers,

Marcus
