Constraining a Clipping Plane

I'm interested in creating a movable clipping plane, especially if I can attach one to a movable node (as in the example script which allows nodes to be moved interactively during a VR session).  Can anyone clarify the instructions in the latest documentation linked here?

VRED 2026 Help | Constraints Editor | Autodesk

I am unsure what Constraining a Clipping Plane instructions are trying to do and feel like I am missing some steps.  If anyone has an example file or step-by-step process, I would appreciate them sharing it!

Thanks,

CH

Hi, just a clarification:

Do you want con constraint "the Clipping Plane" (i think it is not possible) or a "ClipPlane"?

For a Clipplane just act like any other geo.

Hi Chris,

I was wanting to constrain a ClipPlane.  I think I have the concept now.  If I have objects that should be cut buy the clip plane, I place them under the ClipPlane node.  Objects outside that node will not be cut.  Then I can move the ClipPlane, and the plane will move but the objects underneath it will not.  And if I want to constrain the ClipPlane to something movable using the VR controllers, I can do that now with a Parent Constraint.  So my immediate issue is solved.

But I still do not understand the function of the "World" and "Object" attributes in that section of the help doc.  I have tried them both ways, and there seems to be no effect.
