I'd like to know, Can VRED export the 3D data with Ambient Occlusion?

I try to export it via FBX format after calculate AO, However it does not have AO information in FBX.

Anybody know how to export with AO data?

Best Regards,

Toki

You can export the ambient occlusion data with FBX by activating Export Vertex Colors in the Preferences->FileIO->FBX options. This will export the ao and indirect lighting (but not the baked illumination) as vertex colors with RGB being the indirect lighting and the alpha channel being the ambient occlusion value. However, this will only be usefull if you export to something like a game engine where you can actually use these values.

Kind regards

Michael

I'm interested in the same thing... Is it possible in any circumstance to do the same with the direct lighting information?

Thanks in advance!
