TCOUNT issues for last few versions.

Has anyone else had an issue with the "Find and Replace" option not working? The "Overwrite", "Prefix" and "Suffix" choices work fine. But the "Find and Replace" option comes back with "0 objects modified".

I've just kind of worked around it when I need it, but it would be nice to know if it's not just me.

Seems fine here. ACAD 2022

Would you record your exact doing and post your dwg example?

Share a sample DWG file please, add notes inside it on how to replicate your issue.

While we all wait... this freebie from the Autodesk App store has been the go-to replacement for more power users in our offices for quite a few years now https://apps.autodesk.com/ACD/en/Detail/Index?id=8051485828049059617&appLang=en&os=Win32_64

Good luck.

I have been using that app (Increment) for many years now. It serves its purpose when the situation is warranted. TCOUNT can be a quicker and easier way to edit in many cases. I've attached a dwg showing the results of each choice. As you can see, all the other choices work fine in this simple sample. I also show the command line progression through the last "Find & Replace" option. Upper case. lower case, it makes no difference.

As I mentioned in original post, I've kind of worked around it as best I can since the issue popped up a few years ago. It worked fine, then just just stopped working with the "Find & Replace" option.

that returns : "AB1EF" in command line.

And that's it. doesn't affect anything else. Just that result in the Command Line.

One more try. Load a run (still TCOUNT) this version into the newly opened drawing. You should see Findareplace... without &.

Yeah, that was just blind-shooting. I don't know what could be the issue. It's weird. Maybe @cadffm if he has some idea...

Not sure what to do next. Since the TCOUNT is an editable LISP it should be possible to find the issue and fix it.

But... If you want to fix it, you have to be the one who locates the issue. I can help you with that, tell how, but it would be up to you to trace the code and locate it.

Anyway, think of your system, what is non-standard. Any add-ons, extensions... or some language sets with odd fonts, coding...
