How can I get the current layer to always display in a toolbar like we could in older versions????

How can I increase the size of icons when they are already set to large?

How do I increase the command line text size?

How can I permanently get rid of panels?  Toolbars are much better; we can pick what commands we frequently use and does not encroach on the drawong space near as much..

From what I can tell so far, 20126 sucks bigtime for those of us that only need 2D and classic settings.

Open the Layers toolbar, and dock it. You could also insert the layer drop down control into the QAT.

Which icons specifically? Toolbar? Lower the resolution of your display. AutoCAD (for Windows) does not support ultra high resolution.

Command: RibbonClose
(Note: Command: Ribbon will undo this). I suppose you could physically remove the ribbon components from the CUIX file...

Why use it, as opposed to a competitive product that doesn't suck?

There's lots of tips here:

http://www.blog.cadnauseam.com/2011/04/14/autocad-2012-putting-things-back-to-normal/

It's quite old now but it was very valuable in restoring the UI in 2014 I'm used to (and been using for 20 years).

Most, if not all of the tips are still valid

I bet there's ways of resoring everything to an earlier version 'look alike'

How I wish Microsoft Office was as user friendly as AutoCAD

The ribbon was only invented because the developers couldn't improve on the functionality of the existing software & under pressure from the marketing boys & girls came up with the ribbon.
