Hi,

"Extrim" command of Express tools is not working always well, as in this screen.

Any idea on how to fixe this on the extrim.lsp ?

Thanks

Works for me on 3 out of the 4 different variations. I'm running 2025.1.1

Trying to keep just the inside RED pline is where it fails:

But using AutoCAD's standard TRIM command with Mode set to Standard & Trimedges set to 0 then it works:

@Kh.mbkh ,

A few years back, I came to an understanding (that I have never been able to confirm) that the EXTRIM command does NOT mathematically calculate where two entities intersect. Rather, it uses pixels & screen resolution to determine what/where entities need to be trimmed.

This is evident to me for 2 reasons:

1) When you run EXTRIM and select the entity, it immediately zooms to the extent of that entity.

2) When you have a large entity that you selected, and once the EXTRIM command zooms to the extents of that entity, then if you have any linework that cannot be discerned as inside or outside of your selected entity at that zoom level, then it will not trim that linework. (as seen in your example)

So, two different users who run the EXTRIM command on the same entity, may get different results based on their computer setup.

Which might explain why I was able to successfully EXTRIM that entity, and you are unable to.

@Kh.mbkh ,

To test this theory, I have removed the lower portion of your Blue polyline (allowing for a closer zoom, thus a better trim via pixel analysis). Try EXTRIM now and see if it works. I have attached the DWG
