"Classickeys" CTRL-C doesn't cancel PAN command?

I'm old school autocad and use Ctrl-C for Cancel (instead of moving my hand and hitting Esc key). In old versions of Autocad CTRL-C used to cancel every command including the pan command.

Now in 2014 I have to set Classickeys to 1 to get CTRL-C to be my cancel BUT it doesn't cancel the PAN command.

Is there ANY work around to get the Pan Command to also Cancel when I hit CTRL-C?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I mean no disrespect but given "Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.", I would suggest you drop the "old school" and move into the 21st century.  CTRL+C is a valuable tool as copyclip as are many of the other CTRL+<key> combinations that are operating system dependent.  It is no easier to use CTRL+C than to hit ESC BTW.  Don't forget right click either.

None taken. I don't use Copy Clip and for me CTRL-C is much easier than hitting escape because I don't have to move my arm. If I need to use ESC I will have to move my arm to reach it.

I guess you'd prefer a uniform solution, however the PAN command can be terminated by pressing the spacebar.

I didn't realize that. That is great! Thanks!

Get yourself a mouse with a thumb button.  Doesn't have to be one of those fancy gaming mice, either, many conventional mice now come with at least one (and many two).  Assign ESC to the thumb button - even less work than CTRL-C.  Put QSAVE on the other button if there is one, and you're good for most of your common commands.

There's usually a cancel option in the dynamic input context menu, too.
