Polyline and Notch at Walls

What I'm looking for is a Lisp command where I can window the segmented back edge of a countertop, polyline it, and notch it.  Leaving a 2" x 1/8" tab at the ends.  I have attached a sample drawing.  The left is what I start with and the right is how I need it end.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok pick outer edge pt take the line start and end points. Check is line long enough. ok work out a point 2" along the line workout a point 1/8" square off. Erase line. Draw new lines, start - pt1 -pt2 -endpoint. Not really all that hard. A good starting point for learning how to code as Entsel & Polar are your friends.
