point on the block intersecting on the vertical to point

Hello, I am trying to automate the dimensioning process and I would like to find the way you place the dimensions between the block and the rectangles of the attached documents as shown, the dims have to dimension the vertical between the rectangles and the red block at its shorter end .

the prooblem Im having is to find the point on the block intersecting on the vertical to the closest  rectangle point to place the dimensions.

Use APParent-intersection object snap [read about it in Help].
