Partial Diesel RText Update

Is there a way to stop a portion of RTEXT diesel from autoupdating?

Diesel string is Plotted: $(edtime, $(getvar,date), MO/DD/YYYY - HHMM)    Scale: 1 = $(getvar, dimscale)

On any regen it updates all accordingly which is what I expected.  However I don't want the dimscale to update.

I don't use RTEXT very much, but I believe the answer to your question would have to be No.  You would need the scale portion to be fixed content rather than a Diesel expression pulling a System Variable value.

But I'm curious....  If you have changed the scale, why would you not want to have that indication updated?  And if you haven't then the update wouldn't change anything, so why would it matter?

I guess anonymization brought this 10-year-old question back to life.

[That must be it -- I didn't think to look for the date on a Topic with no Replies yet.]
