Need a script/routine to do this...

We have about 1000 dwgs....some have exploded Title Block (Border).
I am looking for a way to:
-Open each Dwg
-Check to See if the Border Block is exploded
-Write a report on which ones have exploded Border Blocks

I remember writing scripts back in the day....I would think a combination script and/or Lisp routine mite accomplish this.

Is this possible?
Anybody have anything simialr already written?
Any Suggestions?

i have written thousands of lines of LISP code...so I can do that...if needed..just looking for guidance here..

the question is: if you find an exploded title, is it possible to insert a new title block and recover all attributes and erase the leftover and report for success

Start with Lee's ODBX wrapper .. that will tear through 1000 drawings in no time! All you need is logic on what to check for that identifies an exploded titleblock.

If the drawing only has fixed number of titleblock instances, then it will be quite easy.

For example, if every drawing only has one layout, and only one titleblock inserted in the layout, then if any drawing doesn't have 1 titleblock, it must be exploded.
