Make Unique Block

Hey guys-

Sketchup has a great feature that allows you to right-click on a component (block) and make it unique in the drawing. Its great for taking an an existing block and modifying it for a specific instance.

Does anyone know of an existing routine that will do something similar?

Thanks.

You wouldn't be tampering with any work on *my* computer.
You can do anything you want with your copy. Except that if you sell it, I
want the money.

It's ok. It only took a while loop to get it to work. This will make creating legends a lot easier.

Thanks.

Just a wee edit.

Added reporting with number of blocks which were made unique.

You could always select your block, right-click, then choose "copy block definition and assign" which essentially does the same thing that SketchUp "Make Unique" function does.

You are a genious and not sure why I didn't think of this because I do it inadvertently all the time lol .. I'm scrolling looking at all this coding this and coding that and thinking to myself .. Sketchups basic program lets you right click and boom done but the sophisticated Autocad wants me have to over think and complicate this by writing a lisp? haha no thank you

Thank you!

I only put Sketchups on my burgers, never on my fries.

Although an old post, but you can try
command: FLATTEN , then select the block you wish to make unique
