Is the support\color directory really needed in the Search Support Path?

We don't use colour books or STB based plotting. So is this directory needed in the Support File Search Path?

We have a Color Book Locations option in the Options dialog box, so I also cannot see why the color directory in required in the search path.

I'm still on 2005, but I assume this is still in 2006 and 2007.
