How can I create a block to showcase text, to automatically update to excel?

I need to link this block labeled, "MATERIALS LIST" to specific fields for text in a previous layout sheet in this CAD file plus an excel document either automatically updates the "bill of materials" fields as the individual "MATERIAL LIST" to its corresponding page as it becomes edited or by "LISP" command or "SOME" Command.The fields that will apply to automatic updating of field information

No, I have not. I am rather still a novice with the program so there is a
great deal that there is for me to learn. Thank you, I guess now I need to
do some research on the "DATALINK" Command and how to utilize it
effectively . . .
