Hatch Transparency

I have Acad LT 2013.  The hatch transparency no longer will display on screen and will not plot even when the plot transparency box in plot is checked.  I tried doing a repair install and when that didn't work, I did a full overwrite install.  I have not tried to uninstall the program and do a reinstall, and was hoping to avoid that.  Any suggestions

You try set PLOTTRANSPARENCYOVERRIDE system variable to 2?

I did try that with no avail. I finally Uninstaller the program and reinstalled which corrected the problem. I guess part of the loaded program had been corrupted to the point that repair options would not fix. Thanks for the suggestion.
