Force Dimension Lisp

Hey Guys,

Don't even know where to start with this one code wise. I'm looking for a lisp that will take a pre-selected dimension (in paperspace) and force it to read model space. In this simple example I have below, I have first dimensioned the distances to the center of the block (1'-6" and 1'-6"). Now I wanted to dimension the whole thing (3'-0") but since the first dimensions already exist, when dimensioned it reads the paperspace distance. I would like something that once used (paper dimension pre-highlighted) will force it to read the model space equivalent of that distance (and refresh) so it reads 3'-0". Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The error you see is likely the result of not snapping to the object when dimensioning.
What is your DIMASSOC set to?
Did you look into DIMREASSOCIATE command? it exists to fix just an issue.

I have tried all 3 version of DIMASSOC and used DIMREASSOCIATE on each one to no avail.
