I think I have discovered one reason...
entmaking something beyond the current extents.
I wrote a c:AAI (arc-arc-intersect) program, but if I zoom extents and then wheel-mouse out as far as it will go, and then run AAI with distances that would be off-screen, then BOOM!
I guess that I will have to add code to increase the extents before the entmake.
