i want to create a text with warning content in dwg file. When drawings are opened on other machines in the same office. It will appear in the text position even if the previous save of the drawing displayed in a different location. Is this possible? Thanks

I would think that a LISP could be written (if it hasn't already) to zoom to the same area every time a drawing is opened or closed.

Of course, proper training (and learning) and/or communication could make this unnecessary.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

You can also define a named View, and in your acaddoc.lsp file, have that Restored upon opening the drawing if the LOGINNAME System Variable is not the "right" one.

Hi Rob!
I completely agree with you. Learning or Training is the best way for that. But it has to be training the whole system and takes time. I am a drawing staff, I also tried to give suggestions to my superiors. But for now there is no change. As I see you also use Revit, and revit has the feature to display the specified layout every time the file is opened.
Also , even if you have learned to drive. but currently traffic still needs signs.
Thanks

The starting view in Revit is a valuable tool.

I used to be on a team of 10 people. Low man on the totem pole as a techie but soon was establishing best practices. If your ideas are good and you can help eliminate inefficiencies, people will listen.

Good luck and thanks.
