Hi. I try to load an image icon instead my slide file to show an icon on my custom menu.

[extr1,extr1]^C^Cinsunits;6;proxynotice;0;-insert;*extr1.dwg;scale;1;

When i try to make slide file from my block that has an image, the result is a slide without image.

Can i have this macro but instead of a slide i can put an image icon?

Thank you.

In the CUI you can specify the image you want for your icon but I believe it must be a .bmp and either 16px square or 32px square.  It must also be in your AutoCAD Support File Search Path or otherwise have its location identified to AutoCAD.

Unfortunately, AutoCAD does not allow support for Images in a Slide file.  So you can only make a Slide of vector objects.

Also as the other poster stated, you can only use bmps in your menu any ways.  Why don't you create a screen capture of the image and then save this as bmp?

PNG should also be supported.

The poor mans way of making hundreds of icons at a time is dragging windows folders of them in reasonable groups (50 or so?) into a blank tool palette. The palette will make icons that resemble the block and you may be able to use them. You will find them where your tool palettes are mapped. I would recommend starting from a blank tool palette (set your tool palettes folder in OPTIONS to point to a brand new folder on your local drive) so you don't have to fish out your icons from among hundreds of Autodesk ones.

There may be other alternatives like programs for such things but I haven't really looked for one.
