Automatic view labels relate to border

Hello, 

We have a standard border template we're required to use for layout view for various mechanical drawings, which has vertical Reference fields A through F and horizontal reference fields numbered, starting with 1-7 on first sheet, etc.

We're required to use a certain format for view labels in the "Letter-Number" format, for example Detail 7-F, etc. This is cumbersome and likelihood for error to type and change manually. We were able to automate the number portion of this label as a field based on the POSITION field and the associated horizontal reference field number, but have not found a way to convert the Y position to letter A through F. 

Any thoughts? Much appreciated in advance!

I see that you are using a TABLE object to create your references.

But I don't see how you're automated the number 5 in this reference to the 5 on the border
