Autocad LT Mac command aliases

When making changes to command aliases, I've gone to Tools>Customize>Edit Command Aliases , and the acadlt.pgp TextEdit window opens, as usual. I make the changes & close TextEdit, but the changes do not work. I have gone back and opened the acadlt.pgp file, and the changes appear to still be how I changed them. I have tried reloading the command aliases as well. I even looked in the Application Preferences>Customization Files>Command Aliases, and the path to the acadlt.pgp file is correct. All seems fine in appearance, but the new command aliases do not work. Suggestions?

Try the command REINIT and selecting the PGP option. If that doesn't work, then it's probably because it's LT and not full version. Post the PGP file so we can see what changes you made.

The command REINIT, is an "unknown command". I'm guessing because it's LT. What's strange though, is that my command allias changes have been working just fine, up until my office got a new server last week. It must have something to do with that, but I cannot figure out what it could be, becasue like I stated previously...I looked in the Application Preferences>Customization Files>Command Aliases, and the path to the acadlt.pgp file is correct. (It was not correct for my Plot and Font files after the new server, but once I changed the path, all was well). This is one of the commands my co-worker was wanting changed on their computer:      D, for Distance, in lieu of DI. (it worked fine this way before new server)

What I would do is search for the existig "D, DIMSTYLE" line and replace it with the "D, DIST" line you have. That way it's not defining the dimstyle command to D.

Andrew, I tried your suggestion, but no change. Smiley Sad

Doing that step used to work fine.

REINIT is an AutoCAD for Windows command, in LT and AutoCAD for Windows.

The MAC forum would probably be the better place for you to search for an answer http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac/ct-p/3011
