Array an alternating pattern

Hello,

I am creating a vinyl pattern on a garage in cad that alternates between 5" and 7". Right now I am just using offset then switching the distance. There has to be a better way to do this, any help?

Just draw the two lines then use Array with 12" spacing. Columns = x Rows = 0

This could also easily be done with a Hatch pattern.  I have some for board-and-batten at the sizes of a common manufacturer [their batten width at two standard spacings]:

*BnBHardie16, Board-&-batten w/ Hardie 2.5" battens, @ 16" C-C
90, 1.25,0, 0,16
90, -1.25,0, 0,16

*BnBHardie24, Board-&-batten w/ Hardie 2.5" battens, @ 24" C-C
90, 1.25,0, 0,24
90, -1.25,0, 0,24

A simple change of a couple of numbers will give you what you want:

*WHATEVER, Board-&-batten 5" battens, @ 12" C-C
90, 3.5,0, 0,12
90, -3.5,0, 0,12

That has its origin in the middle of the width of a batten, but it could easily be defined to have that on one of the edges instead.
