Alternative Argis trace command in Autocad Map

Hi all,

In Arcgis i've use TRASE command (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ozw3EXZSAF0 in 1:35) but I've never seen anything like this in Autocad Map. It is even possible to use something like this any coomand or lisp code? hm?

Have you tried to Search ArcGIS for your data and download a shapefile (.shp extension)?

Then use the MAPIMPORT command to bring that data into your dwg?

Or you can use the Data Connect option, if you do not want to download files.

i know these functions.. but i'm seaching for a command which can use other objects borders when drawing a polyline in CAD... 😞

I know Civil 3D has LINEWORKSHRINKWRAP command built-in. Perhaps Map 3D does also.

(I cannot find the documentation for the shrinkwrap command)

If it does not, Lee's Outline Objects accomplishes this task also.
