We use layout tabs with locked viewports.
We also have a VB routine that plots all the drawings.
The VB routine will turn on and off certain layers such as revision clouds
as is appropriate for the plot desired.
After turning on and off layers it zooms extents and then regens.
after the regen the program plots acExtents.
we have intermittent problems with this.
in the same drawing we have three layout tabs with different title blocks
showing the same model space. First floor model space will have
a Lighting plan, Receptacle plan, and a Systems plan. when this routine runs
lighting and recpts may be ok but the systems plan will get its scale distorted.
To clarify this, the lock on the view port in the systems plan fails and the
zoom extents happens inside the viewport. When I open the drawing up
manually I find that the viewport lock is intact and the scale is just wrong.
PS. this does not always happen, and when it does happen it is not always
the systems plan. Sometimes it is the receptacles or the lights. I just used
the systems plan as an example in this case. I think it would be easy to
figure out if it was always the same layout tab or happened each time it
is run.
is there a know bug with viewport locks?
