Stupid question, I know, but...

Why the heck can't I get smooth scrolling (or any scrolling
for that matter) in the VBA IDE??

It works for everything else!

 

Is there some setting buried deep in the bowels of AutoCAD VBA
that is preventing me from scrolling smoothly?!?

All I wanna do is use the wheel.  That's what it's there
for, right??

Sorry, Matt. Mark Propst, myself and many others have tried to solve this
with out success. It seems to work for some people with certain mice, but
for others its just something you gotta get used to..... Try doing a search
on this group and you will find previous threads on this.

I was able to rectify the problem by downloading
the most recent mouse driver.

Let me tell you, I battled this a long time and
here's my solution - which works 100% for me anyway, hope this helps you
resolve:

 

Microsoft intellimouse exporer optical 3 mouse with
intellimouse driver 4.1 (you can customize buttons 4 & 5)

This was the key for me: Turn scroll bars off in
the drawing editor (options, display, uncheck 'display scroll bars
...')

Leave everything else alone as
defaults

 

For me anyway, everything else (disabling
scrolling, troubleshooting driver, no driver, alternate drivers, etc.) did not
work.

How did the Acad window display effect the other Office applications IDE's?

FWIW, I use a Logitech cordless optical mouse. I installed the drivers that came with the mouse. I have had no problems using the wheel in any application.

It doesn't, to my knowledge. I've never had trouble scrolling in the IDE in
office apps. But disabling the wheel as a method of troubleshooting this in
acad may do that.
