Software Locking

Can anyone give me any help on trying to lock a small survey program that we
have developed on top of LDDT and Microsoft Access.

We mainly want to force people to call us for an authorization code.
Currently if they bought one copy they could then copy it to every machine
in the office. We would like to limit this process. I am not looking for
anything fool proof. Mainly something that can take something out of your
registery or something like that so we can generate a code.

Like I said we aren't looking to stop them completely. If they have enough
time and are willing to crack the code or what ever that is fine. But the
majority of clients will just except this.

Any help would be most appriciated.

You might want to post this question to the Microsoft VB Newsgroup. I have
been visiting that NG and have seen several posts on this subject.

BTW the NG is microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion There is also
microsoft.public.vb.enterprise

There are lots of applications available to do this sort of thing. One
that I'm familiar with is CrypKey (http://www.crypkey.com). 🙂
