Getting key value from the feature that has a linked database

Hi all,

An external data is attached to a drawing using link templates.
Features in the drawing are attached to this database thro' the common key values that are available in both feature and the database.

Could any one share some ideas on how to extract the key value from the feature in drawing?

Any help much appreciated.
