Entity selection

Hiya

I would like to select entities with an area and not those outside it (I have defined a 2D polyline as a boundary).
Is there a trick which would allow me to instruct 2008 to select only entities within the boundary and exclude those outside of the boundary?

create a selection set and use acSelectionSetWindow as the mode

acSelectionSetWindow will select in a rectangle. I think the question was for something that will select based on a polyline of any shape.

acSelectionSetFence will get what you need, but when using the Select() method point1 needs to be an array of points, and point2 needs to be a null reference.

Note that this will only work with straight polylines (no bulges).
