I need to go thru all the dimensions on a drawing and replace text in any text override. What is the best method for going thru all of dimensions. They all reside in model space.
Is the selection set the best way?
Since they are all linear dimensions could I just declare a linear dimension object and do a for each loop?

thanks in advance

Yes to both...

But I would use the ss.

Set ss = ssByObjectType("Dimension", "Dims")

Public Function ssByObjectType(objectType As String, _
ssname As String) As AcadSelectionSet

Dim fType(0) As Integer
Dim fData(0) As Variant

On Error Resume Next
ThisDrawing.SelectionSets(ssname).Delete
Set ssByObjectType = ThisDrawing.SelectionSets.Add(ssname)

fType(0) = 0
fData(0) = objectType

ssByObjectType.Select acSelectionSetAll, , , fType, fData

End Function
