What is the syntax to display the current page setup of a certain drawing which can be used from VB?

Is it something like......
dwg.ActiveDocument.Layouts(0).ConfigName?

I don't think it works that way, unfortunately. I haven't been able to find
any place that stores the actual current pagesetup (by name), yet. The only
things I've been able to do is the copying. I'm left with the impression
that the only way you could do this, would be to collect all of the settings
in the current layout's setup and compare them all to all of the available
pagesetups for a match.

........hopefully I'm very wrong about this.

OK, I have 5 setups defined in the drawing.
How can I match the default setup name unless I know
how to extract the default setup name?

VBA does not expose the name of the current page setup. You can get that
through lisp. I've posted a solution here before, so you can search the ng.

Could you please point to the posting which explains using lisp to find pagesetup. Also, can I use lisp commands from vb?

Thanks.

Go to http://discussion.autodesk.com/forum.jspa?forumID=33 and enter "page
setup name" in the search box. On the first page is a thread titled,
"Current page setup for layout" (sound familiar?). That's where I posted the
workaround. It also answers you second question.
