Area calculation Polyline

I would like to calculate X, Y coordinate length and Area of the building plan. 

eg: one home plan has following measurements

X:690 y:660  x': 690 y': 660

then Area = 455400

I could get the entire area with cad editor customisation. But if I have to choose particular portion such as a room with a size of 300*300, this polyline customisation for area calculation is not working.

have any here will be able to share the code for polyline function to give a pop-up text output of x,y coordinate measurement and area in VB
