I'm experiencing a weird problem and I'm hoping someone out there can help.
I'm writing a VB app to convert a rake of historical data to DWF in Mech Desktop 2005. I've got the DWGs sorted, but a lot of our old drawings have been scanned to TIF, and I'd like to convert these also.
I'm trying to import the TIFFs into Mech Desktop using the AddRaster function, but it keeps bombing out with the error
Run-time error '-2147417851 (80010105)': Method 'AddRaster' of object 'IAcadModelSpace2' failed
I've tried it from VLisp, too, where I get the error
error: Exception occurred: 0xC0000005 (Access Violation);
warning: unwind skipped on unknown exception
I also have AutoCAD 2004 installed, and it works fine here. However, the VB program is to be used at our factory where they only have AutoCAD Mechanical 2005. We're running XP Pro SP2 and I've installed all the latest service packs and updates from Autodesk to no avail - I'm just about to give up and buy a commercial product, I think. We have about 22,000 TIFFs to convert, so any help much appreciated.
