Folder Lifecycle Status History

A tab should be added to allow viewing of the lifecycle state history of a folder similar to the history of a file.  This will be useful for tracking the folder or "project" lifecycle status which provides valuable information as to changes to the state, who changed it, who currently owns it, etc.

Hi There,

Thanks for providing your feedback here!  In terms of lifecycle status on folders do you find you are actually releasing folders and then unlocking them again in a cyclic fashion?  The original goal here was to capture a linear process with a project start and finish, would be interested to understand if you are using it differently.

No, we do not re-open a project once it is closed. The lifecycle of our projects is a linear process.

I agree with this idea.  If we use lifecycles on folders (projects is the typical situation), we need to see when that folder changed state.  We also need to see who changed the state.  This would equate to the approval we see at a file level.  If our business is based around a group of files beign a project, and if the project is driven on all files together, we need to appreciate the lifecycle process at the folder level, with its history showing the progress of that project.

Thanks,

Mark
