Would like the ability to copy a list from a column in another application (i.e., Excel) and paste over the wizard cells or have the ability to upload a file with the file naming mapped.
This would also make it work in a uniform way as the Property Edit dialogue, where you can copy/paste the content.
When renaming several drawing files, I also need to rename the corresponding pdf files. Currently I have to perform the same mix of replace and manual changes for both dwg files and pdf files, where a copy/paste would more or less halfen the time I have to spend on these two renaming operations.
Please add a solution to this. Renaming files for say and entire Vault database is so frustrating and time consuming. What should take a few minutes to maybe an hour for a huge database ends up taking WEEKS to rename hundreds of thousands of files by name. At a minimum they should be using the same user interface as Edit Properties where at least there you can copy and paste in cells and use Excel in the background to clean-up and rename. I would love an export and import to Excel functionality to the Rename interface. It really punishes CAD admins, end users, and wastes company time for anyone who has to rename a ton of files.
