Something that can be easily done. Use the field property for "Factory Configuration" and have the Vault system automatically detect members of that factory and include them during check out / check in and State changes.
This would save us a lot of time and headache when trying to check out a factory (master / parent or whatever you want to call them.) It would help those who didn't realize that the master file was a factory and didn't check out the children (members). B/c this happens a lot where you make a dozen changes and then call out for a admin user to help b/c it's not showing their changes in a downstream assembly b/c they forgot to check out the children (members). Or maybe b/c they checked in the factory + members and checked out the factory (parent) later b/c they missed something and forgot to get the children (members) b/c the system doesn't automatically include them.
PS: Yes I'm aware that there's advance buttons to auto include parents, direct parents, dependents, children and related documents but it's not the same thing. Currently in Inventor, if I have the factory + members checked out and I go to check in, all the members are automatically included (LOVE IT)... If I'm in the idw, only the members that are called out are automatically included. Which doesn't help b/c it may only grab the parent and 1 member. And in Vault, if you choose any of those auto selection options, it can get carried away and select way too many things that you don't want to check out. I often find myself going back to a user and telling them to "undo check out" on dozens of files b/c those auto include options were on and they didn't read.
