Color coded item master status

Color coded item master status

With a long list of items in various states, it would be very helpful to be able to automatically color the rows differently by state. That way the eye can be drawn to specific rows!

Thank you for posting the idea.

Have you tried adding the State Glyph column to the dialog?

I'd love visual highlighting similar to this. Both in dialogs and in the main client grid. We do highlighting like this in our ERP system and it would give us great visual continuity to be able to do both.

Currently, the State Glyph functionality allows colored icons to be displayed in the Where Used tab for files and in the Bill of Materials tab for items.

We would like to request a more flexible and efficient conditional row formatting capability for grid views. Ideally, administrators should be able to define custom formatting rules based on property values and lifecycle states.

For example:

  • Display the entire row text in red when the item or file state is Obsolete.
  • Display the entire row text in light red when the state is Work in Progress and a specified custom property contains a value.
  • Display the row using the default black text when no defined conditions are met.

Such a feature would significantly improve visual identification and usability when working with large datasets, allowing users to quickly recognize important conditions without relying solely on state glyph icons.
