Why Vault create Temporary Folder replacing WorkSpace

Hi,

I would know Why or What is the reason for the Vault 2015 create a temporary folder instead of using the default workspace?

(Inventor Project File is locked by Administrator)

Has anyone experienced this?

I think a bit more info is needed.  Vault, not just 2015, used a temp local folder for relationship management operations such as move, rename etc If something goes wrong it can leave the leftovers of that operation in the temp folder and doesn't clean it up.  Could be that.

Hi Neil,
I understand, but is that occurs when the user execute an Open at Vault Explorer. The user not see the project modified, and continue working...
The problem is not the creation. The problem is be invisible to user. Only see when access the command "Project".

Users = Document Editor 1

But I had never noticed this vault operations previously. Good to know.

Any ideia?
