Visualization publish problems for web client viewing

Hi There,

We have just upgraded to Vault Pro 2013 and are now having issues with DWG visualization files. Previously we went to Autocad and set our DWF6eplot.pc3 file with the settings we required to create the dwf in vault to be on ISO expand A4 and with Vector graphics set to Monochrome 2 shades of grey.

That work prefectly for us before but now the results are not the same with 2013 Pro...

Please bear in mind that we have thousands of legacy drawings and many of them were done only in model space.... I know that is the "incorrect" way to draw with Autocad but that is the way it is unfortunately.

We can not find any way to control the "plot" of DWFx files using the job processor on release of the drawing.

We keep getting drawings published with the line colour as it is in the DWG instead of in black and white as it was before.

Please can someone help.....

Hello,

Please consider the TS1070534 "Generating monochrome DWF™ files". Even it is referring to AutoCAD Architecture and Autoloader and DWG TrueView 2008 it is still applicable and works fine with current JobServer releases.

An addendum: For plotting DWFx please configure Printer "DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3" and not "DWF6 ePlot.pc3".

Thanks for your reply and direction. Please note that we were configuring both the DWF and DWFx pc3 files but were not doing it from TrueView. We had been setting as described but in Autocad.

Your direction has certainly helped and I nearly marked it as the solution, however, although it addressed my first issue a new one has come up. Our original aim was to set all linework to black and white when publishing. That goal has been achieved. The problem now is that we also have print layouts which have colour image files inserted into the Autocad drawing (supplied by our customers).

With the configuration mentioned, all the colours in the inserted image files are also converted to black and white.

Is there a way to publish such that only vector lines created in autocad are published black and white while all drawings which contain an inserted colour image will maintain the colours only for the image. All other autocad linework must be black and white.

Thanks to Jonathan from Modena in Durban. He has helped us to resolve the issue. The solution I followed via the link above worked except that it created new issues as I had mentioned.

The solution Jonathan provided was to edit the "TrueViewSetup.dwg" plot settings to monochrome while setting the DWFx6 ePlot.pc3 to colour via DWG True view.
