Vault Error : Program closes after starting up

Hi,

I was facing issues with Vault so I reinstalled Vault from Software center.

After re-installation when i open vault it pops up the login window and then after login it takes some time and then gives the following error.

 

Is there any way to tackle this issue?

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

We are seeing a lot of problem with Anti-Virus software at the moment. In particular F-Secure. The symptoms vary greatly. Some are covered in this article. 

Suddenly, Vault Clients can't update/sync properties and get files

 

 

Normally its the last thing we suggest. But given the surge in Support cases, its now one of the first things we suggest.

 

So can you try the following:-

How to check if AntiVirus software is causing a problem with Vault

 

If you could then try reinstalling Vault and the latest updates for 2018 with the AV uninstalled by following these instructions.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the Vault Client

Hey @Richard.Rankin ,

 

Thanks for your response, I tried removing Antivirus and reinstalling vault.

This dint work.

 

I also tried replacing 4 exe files in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Vault Professional 2018\Explorer

  1. Autoloader.exe
  2. Connectivity.VaultPro.exe
  3. CopyDesign.exe
  4. JobProcessor.exe

from the similar PC that had working version of Vault, This also did not help.

 

 

Finally What helped was replacing entire explorer folder (C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Vault Professional 2018\Explorer) from the working version of vault.

 

 

Now it seems to be runnig well.
