Vault - Electronic Signature during ECO process

Hi, 

I am wondering if there is a setting I can turn on so that a prompt appears for the user (checker, approver) to input their user account password as a electronic signature for the approval of a drawing during the check and/or review stages of a ECO. My quality department is looking for this as the form of approval esign timestamp to comply with pharma regulations. 

Or maybe there is another work around? 

My vault environment is set up so all users are logged in through their windows authentication.

Method 1: use "Vault PLM", which is Vault paired up with Fusion Manage, since the latter gives you ways to easily control that:

Method 2: talk to your reseller or internal developers to create a Vault Job Processor custom task for the transitions you wish to trigger a prompt and request a password to proceed. There is a lot of thought and work for this method, but at least you avoid buying another software and changing your workflow dramatically.

Please allow me to add another option:
I read the request as you want an extra signature to show up in the ECO Approval flow.
Take a look at this article - which shows how to prompt for an extra approval

I hope this can be used .- otherwise I will nee to re-read your request again 😉

Ideal I will trial this also thank you. Will the signature be required for every step in the ECO or just the review to approval stage?

Only for "the transition towards the "Approved" state".
