Vault - Drawings - Save

Hello. I have saved the assembly and the drawing files from my project to the Autodesk Vault. However, I drew the assembly and all of the drawings within another storage system. I uploaded all the files from my Inventor project to the Vault, but when I open any of the drawings, the drawing will save itself and update the file information even without me issuing the save command.

Once it’s all uploaded, Vault is not able to detect any changes to the original file. There is no sign of any updates in the drawing, but the date of the last modified file is updated. Is there any possibility it might be some kind of an auto save function? If yes, is there a possibility to disable the function and how? If you have any ideas why vault is updating the files on it’s own. feel free to send your ideas my way.

Thank you.

Check your Inventor Vault add-in settings to see if there is any dialog suppression selected for Check-Out prompts (automatically checking files out without you knowing) and Check-In.

You could also look under Tools > Application Options > Save, to make sure there are no Save conditions you aren't prompted about, although the Vault add-in settings are what truly needs to be under your control (saving changes does not matter if the file is not checked in anyways).

Thank you @Gabriel_Watson. I tried your solutions and the drawing will save itself still. I found out that, fullfilenames of the models in the drawing are from old storage. The fullfilenames are not from Vault. I found out also that, when I open two ore more drawings together (Opening from the Inventor), the drawings will not save themselves.

Are you sure you don't have anything recurrent running from your task scheduler, Autoloader (Start Menu > Autodesk > Autodesk Data Management > Autoloader) or cloud mapping from Tools > Administration > Vault Settings > Collaborate > Configure?

Also check for any triggered iLogic on the files, or unusual active add-ins you may have under Tools > Add-ins.

I didn't use a Autoloader.
I have all iLogics for event "before save".
I tried disable the Add-ins Vault and everything is OK. But I don't have a Vault in the Inventor now 😄 The problem is probably caused by the vault, but I don't know why. 😞
