Vault 5 move ipt and iam from projectmap to librarymap

In vault 4, we have separately maps for each project. Parts and assembly's which we can use in another project are moved in the vault explorer from the projectmap to the library map. In all the projectfiles we mapped to the same library. This works fine until we upgrade to vault 5, inventor 11 and msql 2005 express. Now we get 2 warnings and it doesn't move anymore:
1- No common project file found. A project file must exist in a common parent of the source and destinationfolder
2- Could not locate assocoated project file in vault

Of course we looked to the projectfile. It's the same ipj we used with vault 4 and inventor 10.

Big question-> how can we move files to the library's from the projectmap. What has changed with vault 5 and inv 11.

Please give this a try.

1. Open Inventor and create a new Vault Project and save it at the directory
where the Vault Explorer($) is mapped.
2. Open Vault Explorer and right-click the Vault Explorer($) folder and
select Add Files.
3. Add the project you created in Step one to this top level folder in Vault
Explorer.
4. Try to move your file to your library folder.

Hi Irvin,
I did what you suggested and now the part or assemblys moves to the library parts. So it works. Thanks
