Vault 2022 User Display Name

In Vault 2021, our Vault usernames "User Name" are like {DOMAIN}/{USERNAME}

In Vault 2022, it removes the "User Name" field and replaces it with "Display Name" like {Lastname}, {Firstname}.

Generally, I like the options in Vault 2022 but is there a way to retain the "User Name" information like it had in Vault 2021? We have a lot of other systems that need to be updated that require this field as-is.

Good point. However, why email addresses and not the user's full name?

@ihayesjr We have a big enough organization that some names are duplicate based on how AD has them set. You really need to look at the email address sometimes for more common names.

Why not a combination of both the display name and email address?

For example:

Thomas Ramback (email address)

Or

Thomas Ramback (AD login)

@ihayesjr That does work. Except the column width takes up a lot of screen real estate.

Hi Irvin,

if you point out to the API.

I can´t find a class member for the display name inside the user class.

Do you have a link or code example?

regards

Michael

Hi Irvin,

i´ve got a code that reads the username when change the lifecycle.

With the old Vault Account login i get the old username of the logged in user.

with the new Autodesk Account login i only get the email of the Autodesk Account login.

So i´ve to adress this behaviour with changing my code to read the display name.

I would like to know how to use the parameter Vault_username as a filter in the customized report before, and now how to use the Display Name as a filter
