VAULT 2022.1 SSL ENHANCEMENT

Hello,

I'd like to refer to an article:

https://help.autodesk.com/view/VAULT/2023/ENU/?guid=GUID-442FD7C8-D74E-4C1F-A32F-90F427DBB154

What do you mean by enhancement ? I see that an SSL self-signed certificate has already been created, so there is no need to generate it and pin to IIS server like in previous version.

Does it mean the only thing to provide encrypted communication besides enabling https is importing that cert (without private key) to users machine trusted cert store? Am i correct ?

Does SSL affect the user experience (speed) ?

@jzarczynski

The enhancement that was implemented was the ability to easily configure SSL with Vault.

Before the enhancement, SSL configuration required a lot of manual multiple file changes which if not done correctly could case the system to fail.

Providing the configuration through the UI, removed this complication.
