Vault 2018 add-in not logging users out

We're having an issue where the Inventor and electrical (ACADE) Vault 2018 add-ins won't release the licence for a user when they click "Log out" in the ribbon (even though it says they have been logged out) until they actually close the program (Inventor or ACADE). This wouldn't be an issue except that our vault server manager says that occasionally a user appears to be taking 2 licences, which then prevents another user from logging in. Is this a known issue? is there any configuration option or workaround to this?

EDIT: I just found this KB article that seems to say that a Vault Add-in logs in at launch, & will never release its licence until the parent program is closed. If this is the case, why is there a "Log Out" button in Vault add-ins?

Also, where should we begin to troubleshoot why/how a single user on a single machine might be taking more than one licence ?

Hello,
Starting with 2017, the Licensing Changed from Server Based to Client based.
The Server No longer can draw It release a license and this is why the license is drawn When having the addin Loaded and Released When the addin is unloaded respectivley the Application is closed.

Thanks, johannes. So the "Log Out" in vault add-ins doesn't actually do anything, is that right?

and are there any known issues with users taking up 2 or more Vault licences concurrently? I can't work out how this problem is happening
