@johan.degreef, with the addition of Upchain technology, Autodesk is in a better position to deliver a cloud platform that scales to customer needs and enables connection across the entire manufacturing ecosystem.
Upchain is an instant-on solution that provides out-of-the-box functionality and integrates with a broad range of mechanical and electrical CAD tools from different software providers as well as Microsoft Office. In addition, Upchain is unique in that it gives customers the ease of multi-CAD integration along with cloud PDM and PLM capabilities all in one platform.
As mentioned this is an addition and not a replacement to the current Vault solution. Autodesk plans is to continue supporting and enhancing Vault as an important and critical on-premise data management product in our portfolio as well as connecting Vault to our cloud platform and cloud services.
