Unable to automatically update mapped Templates and Design Data

Hello,

In Inventor 2024, it is now possible to map Templates and Design data folders with Vault.

But, these folders are not synchronized when starting Inventor.

It is necessary to switch to another project file, then switch again on the correct project to trigger the update.

In Vault, the default project fil is defined.

In Inventor, the user log with the same ipj.

Has anyone noticed the same behavior ?

Those files are synchronized when you log into Vault.

No, this is the problem !
When Inventor starts, we can see it connects to Vault, but there is no synchronization. It is necessary to switch to another project file, then switch back to the previous project.

Can you share a video of the failure and screen shots of the Vault mappings and project file settings?

On the video, you can see that when inventor starts there is no synchronization. It happens only when I change the ipj file.

I send also the mapping, which seems to be correct (when the synchronisation triggers it is correct).

The ipj file is the same declared in Vault, in Working folders options.

Inventor version : 2024.2

Vault version : 2024.2

@TONELLAL

The challenge with the video is that already had Inventor started with that project selected.

Do you have Automatic login turned on so when you launch Inventor it automatically logs you into Vault?

If so, turn it off. Log out of Vault. Close Inventor. Start Inventor. Make sure the SAIPEM_Paris 2024 project is active. Log into Vault. What happens?

Yes, I cut it in the video because it is at the very beginning, but Inventor automatically connect to Vault, and is effectively connected to the correct project file.

In any case, if I just switch the ipj file then select it again, the synchronisation is triggered, so this means Inventor is connected.

As you can see on the video :

-I start Inventor with no Vault connection
-the ipj file is correct
-I log in Vault : nothing happens
-I switch to another ipj, then switch to the previous one : this trigger the update

From your video it looks like you are missing updates.  It shows that you are using 2024.2.  I am currently running 2024.3.3 and I am not seeing the issue.  I have my design data and templates mapped and they refresh when I start Inventor and automatically log into the vault.

Tested with Inventor 2024.3.2 and Vault 2024.3.1, same thing. Nothing is annouced for later versions...

I'll try nevertheless to install all the SPs.
