The Vaut as CDE

Hi,

Please let me know is Vault the correct software to be used as a CDE, complaint to BS 1192 and relevant PAS.

Can it be used for Asset Lifecycle Information Management?

Is this the solution for Bnetley Projectwise and Assetwise?

What is the solution in Autodesk for 5D BIM?

Thanks

I'm not sure what CDE is, but based on the rest of your post, you might also want to look into Fusion Lifecycle.  Vault is used for document management, lifecycle and revision management (Vault Pro) Bill of Material and Engineering Change Orders.

Hi,

I would like to know in detail how Vault works as a CDE, how it is
complaint to standard codes BS 1192 and PAS 2 to 5. and what are the
limitations. We are already doing a 5D BIM project using other software.
I am exploring the Autodesk solution. Please assist.

Also other than the CDE solution, I would like to know how we can we
manage 4D, 5D and Asset Lifecycle information Management. Also data
transfer to CMMS software.

Thanks,

We need more information.  Maybe this is a language thing, but we need to know what CDE and CMMS are.  Please provide more information so we can help you.  You just repeated your original question.

EDIT:

And now I see that @Anonymous  said the same thing... sorry Ryan, didn't mean to step on you.

Greetings, @suresh.aglawe

My answers in red:

Please let me know is Vault the correct software to be used as a CDE, complaint to BS 1192 and relevant PAS.

Vault Pro. is PDM (Product Data Management) and client-server solution and it can be used as CDE (Common Data Environment), but the implementation depends  of factors like: workflows, document lifecycle, BIM applications, change management  policies, etc. Currently, Vault is not compliant with BS1192, but it could be configured to comply with this standard.

Can it be used for Asset Lifecycle Information Management?

Is this the solution for Bnetley Projectwise and Assetwise?

No, only for Bentley Projectwise.

For assetwise, you could evaluate a cloud based BIM360 solution

For CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), you could evaluate BIM360 OPS solution

What is the solution in Autodesk for 5D BIM?

For 4D, 5D simulations, you can use Autodesk Navisworks

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the information.

Is Assemble usefull for 4D and 5D for Tracking schedule and cost?

Now what is the Integration/Collabration between Vault, BIM 360, Assemble, scheduling software like Primavera, Revit and Navisworks Models. What should be the workflow here. Is there any duplication in this solution.

What if the data/Asset Tag is to be handed over to other CMMS software like SAP or with which CMMS software the integration is available, say from BIM 360 Field/OPS?

Also, are the Asset Tags created in OPS or they are just a metadata in Equipment? If they are created as Asset Tags, then can the visual interface be created with the Asset Tags, like linking documents, drawings, manuals, element hotspotting from model?

Thanks

Suresh

Greetings, @suresh.aglawe

Currently, I don´t have all the answers. My advice for you is that you should find a local Autodesk reseller, this link can be useful: https://www.autodesk.com/partners/locate-a-reseller.

They can contact Autodesk consultants easily and answer all your questions about these integrations.

Best wishes!
